The Isuzu Bellett 1800GT was released in 1964, and competed with the Skyline for the title of Japan's first GT. Its European styling and advanced mechanisms such as four-wheel independent suspension attracted attention, and it became known as the "Bellett G" and was highly regarded by car enthusiasts at the time. In 1969, the most powerful version of the 1600GTR (GT type R, depending on the model year) was released, equipped with the G161 DOHC engine for the 177 coupe that had been released earlier. A s a symbol of the good old '60s culture, it is still supported by passionate enthusiasts.

Tomytec has had the Bellett G in their "Tomica Limited Vintage" series since 2013; this time they're bringing us new colors of the final GT Type R. The GT Type R is characterized by the final model front mask from 1971, and also features a striking orange metallic body color. The original GT celebrates its 60th anniversary this year -- order yours today!
